Precisely enabled Citizens’ “Operational Data Cache” by capturing mainframe log changes, converting records to JSON on a Linux host and streaming them into Confluent and downstream stores. The solution—built around Precisely Connect—was deployed in under a year and delivered measurable impact: roughly 6% cost savings (~$1.5M/year), an 80% reduction in MIPS for inquiries, batch availability within 60 minutes, 99.99% of mainframe changes reflected in cloud apps in under two seconds, a 30% reduction in IT costs and 50% faster data processing, plus better customer response times and lower churn.
