House of Fraser, a UK department store, sought to enhance its multichannel retail strategy and innovate its customer experience. They partnered with the vendor Poq, leveraging their app commerce platform and integrated augmented reality (AR) technology to bridge the gap between their physical and digital presence.
Poq implemented a "Scan to Explore" AR feature within the House of Fraser app, which was used to make physical catalogues and Black Friday shop windows shoppable. This solution drove significant results for the retailer, including a 115% higher purchase rate, a 1.8x longer browsing duration, and a 20% higher average order value from users who engaged with the AR feature. The campaign successfully generated sales outside of regular store hours and produced considerable revenue.
