Tecta America, a national roofing company with more than 2,500 employees, partnered with PlanSource to address the common employer challenge of ineligible dependents on their health plan. Concerned with compliance, wasteful spending and the need for a low‑effort, secure process, Tecta engaged the PlanSource Dependent Verification/Dependent Eligibility Audit to identify dependents who did not meet plan requirements.
PlanSource managed the end‑to‑end audit—mailings, call center support, paperwork and dependents’ removal—freeing Tecta’s HR team to focus on core operations. The audit reviewed 753 dependents, identified 249 as ineligible, and reduced the ineligible dependent cost burden by over $870,000 annually (reported savings $871,500), while maintaining coverage for eligible employees.
