Central Network Retail Group Uses PlanSource Benefits and HCM Technology to Boost Efficiency, end Noncompliance and Banish Paper

Central Network Retail Group (CNRG), a Memphis-based retail confederation operating more than 80 stores and 2,000+ employees, struggled with disparate HR and benefits systems that relied on paper enrollment, caused inefficiencies and noncompliance, and prevented a unified view of employee data. Working with broker Strategic Benefits Design, CNRG selected PlanSource’s benefits administration and human capital management (HCM) solutions to consolidate benefits, payroll, time & attendance, applicant tracking, onboarding and ACA compliance.

PlanSource delivered a phased implementation (benefits admin in 2013, full HCM suite in 2015) that unified systems and automated workflows. Results included 1,517 employees enrolled online, payroll time reduced from two days to under an hour, overtime cut 50% in three months, dozens of paper forms eliminated, a 360° employee view, resolved compliance issues, and — with Strategic Benefits Design’s benefit packaging — nearly halving CNRG’s medical loss ratio.
