Trussway Manufacturing, a long-standing truss design firm, faced growing coordination challenges as its design team expanded across the U.S. and to Vietnam. With roughly 75 designers—about 50 working remotely—and thousands of large plan files, the company struggled with paper-based notes and oversized PDFs that were slow to load, hard to email, and costly to print and distribute, making timely communication and revision control nearly impossible.

Trussway implemented PlanGrid as a centralized “communication tool,” paired with targeted training, to replace paper and PDF workflows. Using task stamps and shared plan sets, the team now manages 1,500 projects (over 400,000 sheets), assigns and tracks issues instantly across time zones, eliminates printing and mailing costs, and dramatically improves collaboration and revision speed for its remote workforce.
