Skanska, a Sweden‑based global construction leader, set out to digitize its operations and embed construction data analytics into decision‑making. Facing an industry that spends little on technology, Skanska launched a carefully phased pilot in Sweden to prove a scalable approach for quality, safety, cost control and overall digital transformation.

Skanska built a Digital Construction Platform (DCP) powered by Autodesk BIM 360 Next Gen and Autodesk Forge and created a DigiHub to test innovations. Replacing paper workflows with cloud access to 2D/3D drawings and project data enabled real‑time insights and proactive management — yielding expected results of roughly 25% faster construction, a 20% reduction in costs, improved health and safety, and reduced environmental impact as the program scales globally.
