How Snyder Langston Keeps Everyone on the Same Page

Snyder Langston, a leading commercial and residential builder in Irvine, California, needed a way to keep field teams and subcontractors aligned to improve speed, quality, and reduce rework. With iPads already in the hands of superintendents, the company sought a native mobile solution that was fast, simple to learn and organize, made RFIs and submittals instantly accessible, and offered responsive support—existing blueprint readers were too slow and updating drawings was cumbersome.

After evaluating three options, Snyder Langston standardized on PlanGrid for its quick, sheet-based interface, easy sheet filtering/search, attachment tool that eliminated trips to the trailer, and strong support and consulting. Since 2014 they’ve rolled it out across 43 projects with 128 users and most subcontractors on board; on large jobs like The Boardwalk they’ve managed 5,500 sheets, 700 RFIs and 27 plan deltas, eliminated printing, streamlined daily walks and punchlists, increased transparency with owners, and significantly improved collaboration and project delivery.
