How PENTA Built A Formula 1 Racetrack In Record Time

PENTA Building Group, a Las Vegas–based general contractor, was hired to deliver the inaugural 3.8‑mile Formula 1 racetrack and supporting infrastructure on the Strip under an aggressive 11.5‑month schedule. The work required upgrading roads, building grandstands, bridges, a 300,000‑sq‑ft pit building and extensive utilities while coordinating dozens of stakeholders and 24‑hour crews across some of the busiest streets in the world.

PENTA standardized workflows on Autodesk Construction Cloud (Autodesk Build and BIM Collaborate), onboarding ~2,400 internal and external users, centralizing models, schedules, RFIs and clash detection, and delivering staggered training and project templates. The approach enabled real‑time coordination and safer street closures, cut paper and travel‑related carbon by an estimated 80–90%, and helped PENTA complete the track and supporting infrastructure on time while producing a reusable digital blueprint for future events.
