A PlanGrid Build Case Study
Ardent Construction is a Texas-based general contractor specializing in small commercial work. On projects like the $2.7M Uncle Julio’s restaurant and the $2.3M Friendswood Public Library they faced design and layout inconsistencies and undocumented existing conditions that caused delays, rework and administrative overhead from paper plans.
Ardent deployed PlanGrid (three to four licenses) to give field teams access to the latest drawings, photos, markups and as-builts for real-time collaboration. The tool helped finish Uncle Julio’s 18 days early and save $82K on that job, and has saved about $42K so far on Friendswood; on average Ardent saved roughly $62K per project, cut printing by ~$2K, and realized an overall ROI of about 8,192% (savings ~2–3% of contract).
