United Kennel Club gets a new best friend with Pitney Bowes SendPro shipping solution

United Kennel Club, the largest all-breed performance-dog registry, struggled with unpredictable, high‑volume shipping of Performance Pedigree™ certificates and other mailings across USPS, FedEx and UPS while customers demanded transit tracking. The UKC had been using Pitney Bowes’ pbSmartPostage for USPS discounts and, seeking a more robust option, evaluated and adopted Pitney Bowes’ SendPro office shipping solution to address these challenges.

Pitney Bowes implemented SendPro to provide a single, multi‑carrier workflow for weighing, rate comparison, label printing and tracking, plus consolidated inbound/outbound tracking and expense management. In the first month UKC shipped about 600 pieces (374 flat rate mailers and 193 tubes), and the desktop scale and fast label printer saved significant time by eliminating trips to a remote scale—improvements that UKC reports have effectively paid for the solution—while SendPro’s tracking and consolidated reporting simplified customer notifications and internal expense control.
