Mele Printing accelerates business with inkjet printing and finishing system

Mele Printing, a family-owned commercial printer in Covington, Louisiana that runs more than 1,000,000 statements a month, faced color limitations and declining performance from its existing equipment that constrained transactional print volume, quality and reliability. To expand digital color capabilities, lower cost per impression and extend its White Paper Factory to cut-sheet workflows, Mele Printing turned to Pitney Bowes and its AcceleJet™ printing and finishing system (integrated with the FlowMaster® Inserter System).

Pitney Bowes deployed the AcceleJet duplex inkjet with built-in finishing and integrated it with Mele’s FlowMaster inserters so the shop could print on white-roll stock instead of preprinted forms. The solution improved print quality, speed, accuracy and workflow consolidation, reduced costs (by eliminating preprinted forms and lowering cost-per-impression), and opened new customer opportunities—Mele reports increased transactional volume, new business wins, and a 100% confidence index in taking on more diverse projects.
