Financial Statement Services, Inc. (FSSI), a printer and mailer serving banking, finance and insurance clients and processing up to 15 million documents per month, faced growing demand and strict same‑day service level agreements. FSSI needed to speed up throughput and cut setup and reconciliation times across multiple inserter configurations (flats, 6x9 and #10 envelopes), so it turned to Pitney Bowes and invested in the Epic inserting solution.

Pitney Bowes’ Epic inserting solution — a combined letter and flat inserter with automation and modular capabilities — reduced changeover downtime and increased capacity (the Epic can handle up to 270,000 pieces and more than 70 changeovers per day). After implementation, Pitney Bowes’ solution halved the time to complete a set of inserting jobs, materially cut payroll/overtime costs, increased daily capacity without added staff, and enabled FSSI to automate smaller flats jobs thanks to much faster changeovers.
