Docutech, a 28-year-old provider of mortgage document generation and print fulfillment, needed to reduce rising postage costs while preserving strict same-day SLAs and regulatory postmark requirements for loan documents. After exploring options, Docutech selected Pitney Bowes, using Pitney Bowes Presort Services (along with Pitney Bowes Move Update and Pitney Bowes Bank payment services) because it was the only vendor able to provide same-day pickup six days a week.

Pitney Bowes implemented presort and commingling services, picked up Docutech’s mail Monday–Saturday, verified and corrected addresses with its Move Update service, and simplified payments through The Pitney Bowes Bank. The result: Docutech maintained its same-day SLAs and compliance, reduced undeliverables, raised automated read rates to 96% on the first pass, and cut postage costs by about $150,000 annually.
