Content Critical Solutions leverages Pitney Bowes inserting systems to increase mailing capacity by 30 percent

Content Critical Solutions, a century-old provider of printing, packaging and direct-mail services across New York, New Jersey and Florida, faced growing demand but was constrained by aging inserters—some nearly 20 years old. To boost capacity and replace unsupported equipment, CCS evaluated options and selected the Pitney Bowes Rival Productivity Series Inserting System (with Pitney Bowes Global Technical Service Support) to standardize and modernize operations at each site.

Pitney Bowes installed one Rival inserter in each location, delivering a 30% increase in output—raising throughput from about 3,500–4,000 finished pieces per hour to 5,000–7,000—and reducing employee overtime and production costs. The Rival systems also cut changeover time from roughly 45 minutes to about 10 minutes, improved piece-level job tracking via Pitney Bowes software, and provided faster on-site support, producing measurable gains to CCS’s top and bottom lines.
