A Pitney Bowes Case Study
The City of Sydney, charged with managing AU$12.7 billion of infrastructure to meet its Sustainable Sydney 2030 goals, faced fragmented asset data (more than 60 separate sources), widespread field-based work, and the need to integrate with customer service, planning, finance and GIS systems. To unify asset management and provide mobile access for staff and contractors, the council selected Pitney Bowes and its Confirm platform (Confirm Enterprise Asset Management System, including ConfirmWorkzone and ConfirmConnect).
Pitney Bowes implemented a Confirm-based Corporate Asset Management System (CAMS) that centralized the asset registry, delivered a single map-based interface for planning and costing (ConfirmWorkzone), and gave contractors and field teams mobile job access and real-time updates via ConfirmConnect. The deployment reduced the number of licensed software products, replaced monthly contractor reports with real-time performance data, created time efficiencies that lower costs and improve service levels, enabled immediate verification of actions (for example, street-tree removals), and supports compliance with NSW asset revaluation requirements.
