Empowering Siemens Energy to collaboratively quote complex services

Siemens Energy Services, the leading service partner for large-scale industrial power plants, faced a need to standardize services globally and better understand project profitability while quoting complex maintenance and repair work that required collaboration across as many as 20 different groups. Pierce Washington implemented Oracle CPQ to replace a legacy Lotus Notes database and enable global service quoting.

Pierce Washington configured Oracle CPQ to group services by geography, installation group or service line and extended in-application workflows so multiple teams can work on a single quote with independent status controls. The solution removed email-based versioning, reduced quoting bottlenecks, improved quote accuracy and turnaround times, and—through integrations with Salesforce, SAP and Oracle databases—provided better tracking of job performance and historical customer information.
