A Phrase Localization Platform Case Study
Tito is a design-led, Ruby on Rails–based platform for conference ticket sales (founded 2015, Dublin) that has sold over €300M in tickets and supports checkout in 17 languages. With a team of ten, Tito faced a bottleneck: localization relied on hard-to-maintain flat yml files, one engineer handling the workflow, and manual coordination with external translators, which made adding new languages slow and error-prone.
Tito adopted Phrase, importing yml files easily and ordering translations directly in-platform, which reduced turnaround to a few days and allowed new languages to go live in under a week (Icelandic being a recent example). The platform now serves as the source of truth, enables five developers to share localization duties, and has significantly accelerated Tito’s ability to expand into new markets.
