Lyst is a global fashion search platform (over 10 million queries per month, 6 million products from 12,000 brands) that rapidly expanded into 14 markets and eight languages. Their international growth stalled because deploying localized content took up to 72 hours, so they needed a Translation Management System that was quick to implement, fit their Python/React stack, and was easy for 14 freelance translators to use.
By adopting Phrase, Lyst built a lean localization team (two engineers plus a localization manager) and an agile workflow with translators collaborating and proofreading in-platform. Content in eight languages now goes live in about one minute, saving roughly 48 hours of engineering time per feature release, enabling ~500 keys per language per month (~70,000 words) and higher translation quality across international sites.
