Case Study: Fujifilm achieves 80% post-translation time savings with Phrase Localization Platform

A Phrase Localization Platform Case Study

Preview of the Fujifilm Case Study

Reducing Content Post-Translation Time by 80%

Fujifilm Graphics’ EMEA marketing communications team in Kent, UK produces sales and marketing materials in 15 languages for print, web, mobile and display formats. They previously relied on local agencies or manual copy‑and‑paste workflows to insert translations into Adobe InDesign, a repetitive process that could take up to 90 minutes per brochure and often left content only available in English.

The team implemented Memsource to upload .idml files and translate in a bilingual .xliff workflow, with the platform reassembling the InDesign files so designers only make minor adjustments. This reduced post‑translation preparation from about 90 minutes to 15 minutes (≈80% time savings) and, thanks to translation memory, delivered an additional 30–40% pre‑translation time savings as matches accumulate.
