How Numberfour Created Its First Localization Process With Memsource

NumberFour AG, creator of the enfore POS and business apps, needed to move its German-only product into international markets but had no formal localization process. When Rafaella Braconi was hired to build a localization and internationalization function, developers and writers were manually creating localization packages, copying text into Word and pasting translations back into Git and the CMS—slow, error-prone work that hurt speed to market. Braconi wanted automation and tools that integrated with their existing Git and Zendesk workflows.

She selected Memsource for its Git and Zendesk integrations, intuitive interface and responsive support, starting on a small plan and later upgrading to a custom Enterprise setup. The new workflow automated pre- and post-translation steps, preserved formatting, eliminated most manual merging, and shortened turnaround times; Braconi now manages translation memories and QA in-house, works with a vetted pool of translators, and plans to grow an internal localization team.
