Fair Trade USA is an independent nonprofit that certifies and promotes Fair Trade products across 46 countries, working with over 800 brands and 1.3 million farmers and workers. When building an online partner portal to help supply‑chain partners log transactions and share product information, the lean technology team faced a major localization challenge: translating 460+ keys into the languages used across 40+ countries with limited developer time and budget.

Fair Trade used Phrase to streamline and scale localization—leveraging an intuitive UI, an In‑Context Editor, and shared language libraries so new languages could be added without code changes.
