Connecting In-house and Outsourced Translation Teams

Citroën Scandinavia, the regional importer and marketer for Citroën, produces both technical and marketing content and relied on an in-house translation team plus external vendors. The two groups worked with separate translation memories and terminology bases, creating fragmentation that drove up costs, slowed turnaround and undermined consistency.

In 2013 Citroën adopted the cloud-based Memsource platform, bringing in-house and outsourced teams onto a single system and enabling shared translation memories and glossaries. The centralized workflow improved TM leverage, cut costs and turnaround times, and delivered more consistent terminology — a solution their Head of Translation, Pernille Malling Frederiksen, calls user-friendly and future-ready.
