FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp., a global provider of office and business solutions, tasked a small UI Localization team with translating product interfaces into a dozen languages for markets across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Their legacy translation management system required custom encoding/decoding tools and extensive pre- and post-processing for each new file format, creating bottlenecks that undermined efficiency and made it hard to support agile, frequent releases.
