Amesto Translations Selects Memsource as Primary CAT-Tool

Amesto Translations, part of the Amesto Group (acquired by Semantix AB in 2018), is one of the Nordic region’s largest translation agencies with offices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the UK and services in over 200 languages. Faced with a mix of very small, fast-turnaround jobs and complex, multi-step workflows involving many linguists, Amesto needed a cloud-based CAT tool that supported automation, up-to-date file filters, secure client collaboration and a provider-friendly free version.

In 2017 Amesto selected Memsource as its primary CAT tool and integrated it with XTRF so projects, analyses and assignments are created automatically and final files are returned to XTRF for delivery. The change delivered higher productivity (partly from increased machine translation use), eliminated error-prone export/import steps, shortened delivery times, improved client-driven terminology and validation workflows, strengthened security controls, and received positive feedback from translators on features like autocomplete and preview.
