Insco is a wholesale distributor of HVAC/R parts with 15,000 SKUs across 37 branches in Texas and Oklahoma. Facing growing competition and limited visibility from legacy SQL-based reporting that required a data analyst to export to Excel, the company needed an easy-to-use analytics solution so branch managers and sales reps could access reliable data themselves. In 2017 Insco deployed Epicor Data Analytics (EDA) powered by Phocas to simplify reporting and speed decision-making.
EDA delivered role-based, daily-refreshed dashboards and an analyze mode that let users self-serve insights—clickable customer links, rolling year‑to‑date sales, seasonality and AR views among them. The result: faster answers without analyst bottlenecks, deeper customer conversations that strengthen loyalty, improved visibility into low-volume lines and overall cost savings. Ongoing product improvements driven by user feedback keep the tool evolving to meet Insco’s needs.
