Data visualization tool connects all pieces of the puzzle for Gibsons

Gibsons is a 100‑year‑old UK manufacturer and distributor of over 500 games, puzzles, cards and gifts, serving about 1,500 retailers with a 20‑person team. Although they’d relied on AMSolve ERP for more than 20 years, extracting sales and calendar‑year data via a difficult report writer left reporting slow, fragmented across financial years and inaccessible to non‑technical staff.

After consulting their AMSolve partner Aspin, Gibsons added Phocas business intelligence alongside their ERP, implemented in 2018, to provide self‑service data access and visual dashboards. Roughly half the company now uses Phocas for budgeting, stock and sales forecasting, and sales teams pull live reports on the road; the change cut reporting time, uncovered missed sales opportunities through dashboard insights and made forecasting and budgeting possible and repeatable.
