Sistema, a New Zealand manufacturer of food storage containers (now part of Newell Brands), needed to protect its global competitiveness by squeezing more efficiency out of production and distribution. With a high SKU count, automated machinery and complex inventory flows, the company needed better visibility into machine performance, labour impact, costs and stock levels across manufacturing, warehousing and dispatch.

The solution linked production, inventory and payroll data to reveal root causes of downtime (for example, understaffing), improve forecasting, tighten stock control and simplify BI without heavy internal infrastructure — and has positioned the business to pursue predictive maintenance and machine‑learning insights next.
