U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) is a large, family‑owned electrical component distributor operating 11 companies across the Northeast and Georgia, with more than 150,000 products in four distribution centers and 85 branches. Speed and accurate insight are critical, but until 2014 the company relied on fixed SQL reports that were time‑consuming to produce and couldn’t answer unanticipated questions, leaving managers and salespeople unable to make timely, fully informed decisions.

USESI implemented Phocas as a self‑service BI layer on top of its Epicor Eclipse data warehouse, enabling non‑technical users to build customized dashboards and drill into transactions, products and customers. The unified, easy‑to‑use analytics platform saved hours of manual reporting, improved cross‑company alignment on metrics, helped identify product and margin opportunities at a granular level, and delivered immediate margin gains and new revenue opportunities.
