Bennett Auto and Phocas Set New Business Metrics

Bennett Auto Supply is a 34-store Florida retailer and distributor of 60,000+ automotive parts that struggled to unify reporting across systems. Legacy BI tools couldn’t combine external tables or customize reports, so payroll, phone logs, fuel and MAM ERP data lived in silos—making it hard to relate labor to sales, track same-store performance, or measure recruitment and delivery costs.

Implementing Phocas allowed Bennett to combine databases and start testing live data within months (implementation began in May; accurate data by July). Cross‑querying payroll, sales, telephone and fuel data now produces metrics like sales per man‑hour, caller-to-sales conversion, same‑store comparisons (excluding new stores) and fuel cost per delivery, delivering up-to-date reports, better staffing and recruitment decisions, and new operational benchmarks (including a report showing sales were 6% up year-over-year on a given day).
