How KinderCare Learning Companies Quadrupled Applicants to Hires

KinderCare Learning Companies, the largest childcare education provider in the U.S., entered a hypergrowth phase that exposed major talent-acquisition pain points: manual sourcing, two disjointed ATSs, no dedicated career site, and a 60+ day hiring cycle. To scale recruiting, KinderCare partnered with Phenom and adopted the Phenom Intelligent Talent Experience platform, including Phenom Career Site, CMS, CRM, Campaigns, Events and Chatbot, to modernize candidate experience and automate workflows.

Phenom delivered an integrated talent experience—building a personalized career site and CMS, implementing the Phenom CRM for nurturing and reengagement, and automating email/SMS campaigns, events, and chatbot interactions—which transformed KinderCare’s hiring engine. The results: a nearly 4x increase in applicants-to-hires, a 65% reduction in time to fill (from 60 to 21 days), hires of over 27,000 people in one year, reengagement of ~200K past candidates per year and outreach to 1M+ candidates via automated campaigns, and apply conversion rates twice the industry average.
