Morton Salt, an iconic manufacturing company, faced serious workforce challenges — claims data showing significant employee health concerns and a projected 30–40% turnover/retirement over five years — and committed to remaking its culture to be more collaborative and contemporary. To boost engagement, retention and wellbeing, Morton Salt partnered with Virgin Pulse to create Dash, a recognizable internal wellbeing brand.

Using Virgin Pulse’s integrated platform and the Dash identity, employees accessed tailored content, team and personal challenges, rewards, a Sleep Guide and partner-driven personalization. The program delivered strong results: 74% engagement on the platform, a 5% shift of employees from high to low/reduced risk, an average of 11,400 steps per member during a company step challenge (about +2,000), and member interactions 120% higher than Virgin Pulse’s benchmark.
