Howard County Public School System partnered with Virgin Pulse to improve employee wellbeing across a large, diverse workforce. The challenge was to consistently engage employees in healthy behaviors, capture biometrics and activity data, and translate those insights into targeted initiatives that strengthen a system-wide culture of health.

Virgin Pulse’s platform drove daily tracking of physical activity and healthy habits, regular biometric checks, and delivered reporting and survey tools to guide outreach. The program reached 87% of eligible employees, with 58% meeting or exceeding activity recommendations, 76% maintaining ideal blood pressure, and an average of 9,245 steps per participating employee per day.
