Sompo Insurance Singapore, a Top‑10 insurer with about 300 employees, faced rising fatigue and a “too busy to be healthy” culture that was increasing sick leave and turnover. HR wanted to flip this mindset so staff would become more resilient, energised and focused despite the demands of the insurance industry.

Sompo partnered with the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge — a 100‑day premier event and year‑round wellbeing platform with an app, reminders and engaging communications — to make health feel fun and self‑driven rather than a managerial directive. Results included members reporting low/no fatigue rising from 25% to 66%, 78% reporting better concentration and productivity, and 62% recognising their employer’s commitment to wellbeing, alongside gains in motivation, team spirit and ease of programme rollout for HR.
