Finish Line - Customer Case Study

Finish Line, a national athletic retailer with more than 14,000 employees, faced low participation in early wellness efforts like biometric screenings, blood drives and an on-site fitness center. Leadership wanted a program that would reach and engage the whole workforce, build wellbeing into everyday culture, and use incentives to motivate sustained behavior change.

Finish Line implemented the Virgin Pulse wellbeing platform—adding incentives, wearable devices, challenges, activation communications and a range of on-site supports (CrossFit classes, outdoor track, walking groups, seminars and massage). Within two years engagement and activity rose significantly: 63% enrollment, 70% of employees meeting recommended activity levels, an average of 9,884 daily steps and 31% of participants moving into high-activity categories, alongside a noticeable culture shift and improved recruitment and retention.
