EnPro Industries - Customer Case Study

EnPro Industries, a Charlotte-based manufacturer with more than 3,000 U.S. employees across 20+ locations in 14 states, wanted to create company-wide culture change around health and safety. With a four-generation, dispersed workforce, EnPro aimed to make campuses tobacco-free, increase daily activity, and educate employees on healthy eating while reaching every location and demographic.

In August 2010 EnPro partnered with Virgin Pulse and used posters, mailings, a monthly newsletter, and program-driven emails to engage employees. The program achieved 58% enrollment, with participating employees averaging nearly 12,000 steps per day and 82% meeting recommended activity levels; healthier food choices and walking meetings became common, and 1,755 employees signed tobacco-free pledges in 2014. Overall, the initiative produced measurable behavior change and a stronger well-being culture across campuses.
