Persistent helps Swiggy improve customer experience with faster food deliveries

Swiggy, the food delivery platform, needed a scalable mapping solution as it expanded from a few Bengaluru neighborhoods to coverage across India. Persistent Systems helped address this challenge through its Google Business Unit, using Google Maps technology to support efficient mobile and web experiences for customers and delivery staff.

Persistent Systems implemented a solution using Google Maps APIs, including the Directions API, to show nearby restaurants, route delivery drivers, and let customers track orders and ETAs in real time. The results included 25% monthly growth in Swiggy’s hyper-local delivery service, nearly 80% repeat orders, and the ability for 1,000+ drivers to handle tens of thousands of orders per day.
