Habitat for Humanity Moves to a Digital Review Process

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, a nonprofit with 52 full-time employees and a mix of remote, field, and part-time staff, needed a better way to manage performance reviews than its paper-based annual process. Before PerformYard, reviews were hard to track, inconsistent in quality, and quickly filed away without easy follow-up or accountability.

With PerformYard, Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia implemented a digital performance management process using automated workflows and review forms for annual reviews, mid-year check-ins, performance improvement plans, 60-day new hire evaluations, and later 360 upward reviews. The organization expanded access to part-time employees, improved feedback and goal-setting, and made reviews more consistent and inclusive; Kathy White said they renewed their contract because PerformYard made performance management “much easier” and helped build accountability into the culture.
