A Perforce Case Study
Proximus, a telecom company in Belgium, faced significant challenges with its test data management. Refreshing test environments for 60 applications took up to two weeks and required disruptive production downtime, while inconsistent data masking processes led to poor data integrity and blocked testers. To overcome these data bottlenecks, Proximus implemented a solution from vendor Perforce using their Delphix data platform.
By adopting Perforce Delphix, Proximus automated data refreshes and standardized masking, reducing the refresh time for 60 applications from two weeks to a single weekend. The solution enabled data virtualization, saving 1.6 petabytes of storage and significantly cutting infrastructure costs. Perforce Delphix also provided self-service data access for developers and testers, shifted defect detection earlier in the cycle, and reduced production issues.
