A PerfectServe Case Study
Prisma Health Upstate, an eight-hospital health system with more than 15,000 care team members in Greenville, SC, faced major communication inefficiencies — an internal study found clinicians collectively wasted 28.39 hours every shift trying to reach one another. To address this, Prisma engaged Telmediq (now part of PerfectServe) and implemented Clinical Collaboration powered by Telmediq to create efficient, high-adoption workflows that worked for both nursing and provider teams.
PerfectServe deployed its cloud-based Clinical Collaboration powered by Telmediq platform with integrations to Epic, physician scheduling systems, and the existing pager network, preserving pager numbers while enabling two-way, auditable messaging, centralized on-call routing, EHR-linked patient context, and automatic escalation rules. The solution streamlined communications, reduced care delays, provided delivery/read metrics to target response-time improvements, and expedited patient throughput—eliminating collaboration inefficiencies and improving clinician and patient satisfaction at Prisma Health.
