Listening to Nurses on the Path to ANCC Magnet Redesignation

Norton Healthcare, a not-for-profit hospital system in Kentucky, faced a critical challenge with rising workplace violence, which was creating staff safety concerns and increasing turnover risk among its inpatient caregivers. Using Perceptyx's employee listening platform, including its Crowdsourcing & Voting product, the organization identified a significant training gap where only 65.6% of inpatient staff felt adequately trained to deal with aggressive individuals.

Perceptyx enabled a comprehensive solution where Norton Healthcare implemented risk-stratified violence prevention training for over 6,000 employees and used crowdsourcing to gather frontline feedback. This input directly led to the standardization of the "Code Lavender" peer support program. As a result, Perceptyx helped drive a +4.4 point improvement in training perceptions, a +3.1 point increase in perceptions of stress resources, and a measurable reduction in inpatient staff turnover.
