Principal Financial Group, a Fortune 500 insurance and financial services company with 18,500 employees worldwide, needed a better way to listen to employees during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. To improve speed, simplicity, and visibility across the organization, the company partnered with Perceptyx and began using pulse surveys, crowdsourcing, lifecycle surveys, and 360 leader feedback.

With Perceptyx, Principal shifted from a large annual census to smaller, more frequent pulse surveys and real-time crowdsourcing, giving leaders immediate access to results and employee ideas. The approach increased participation to 81%, saved the analytics team significant time previously spent building reports, and helped leaders and Enterprise Readiness teams act faster on feedback through town halls, communications, and targeted improvements.
