PTC, a Boston-based industrial innovation software platform with about 7,000 employees, needed to digitally transform its go-to-market motion because critical buyer and engagement data was trapped in sales reps’ inboxes, leaving contacts and activities out of CRM and obscuring pipeline health. To build a Revenue Orchestration and Intelligence (ROI) Engine and get a full view of the buyer’s journey, PTC partnered with People.ai to surface and centralize business activity data.
People.ai used its SmartMatch technology to mine inboxes, automatically upload activities to CRM, associate contacts to accounts, and identify buying groups—unlocking 75,000 marketable contacts (valued at $300,000), uploading 266,000 activities (saving ~4,700 manual hours), increasing contacts per deal by 800%, and identifying buying groups on more than 10,000 opportunities. The People.ai-powered ROI Engine also generated $13.5M in new pipeline in six months and surfaced 1,200 enterprise white‑space accounts, improving pipeline visibility, persona targeting, and marketing attribution.
