Zmags, a digital content-creation platform, needed a fast, auditable way to get customers to accept updated Terms and Conditions and a new Privacy Policy to comply with the EU’s GDPR. Although Zmags already used Pendo for in-app personalization and onboarding, the GDPR deadline created a cross-functional push to present legal updates and capture customer consent without a lengthy engineering project.
Zmags used Pendo’s in‑app guides to present the required notices at login, block access until users accepted the terms, and record responses for reporting and follow-up. This approach gave them built-in analytics and documentation, avoided building new infrastructure, and saved an estimated 4–6 weeks of development and testing time while ensuring compliant tracking of customer consent.
