Verizon Connect, a provider of fleet management software, needed to lower customer acquisition costs—especially for smaller accounts—and let prospects explore the platform without involving sales. The UX team set out to create a self-serve, hands-on demo that showcased core features like vehicle tracking, reports, and maps using realistic data.
They built an automated product demo using a mix of HTML and Pendo guides that lets users interact with 24 hours of synthetic vehicle data, follow a guided tour or explore freely, and access videos, success stories, and pricing links as needed. The three-person design team and engineers completed the branded, multi-page experience in 60 days; the guided demo (launched in August) creates educated, qualified leads and transforms how prospects engage with the platform.
