PAR is a restaurant technology provider whose Data Central platform centralizes inventory, labor, purchasing and payroll for multi-site operations. PAR needed a low-friction way to introduce new features and teach restaurant managers and staff how to complete common back-office tasks without overwhelming or increasing support demand.
PAR implemented Pendo’s Resource Center and in‑app guides (plus a playful mascot, Pendi) to surface step‑by‑step Virtual Guides, FAQs and release notes directly inside Data Central. The move drove self‑service adoption—users increasingly complete workflows on their own—while Pendo analytics revealed guide traction and drop‑off points, informing product priorities and reducing support load.
