How CINC took control of their mobile app store ratings with Pendo

CINC, a real estate platform, was struggling with low App Store and Play Store ratings for its mobile CRM, CINCAgent — about 75 total ratings and roughly 3.3 stars on iOS and 3.8 on Android — which was hurting sales and being driven by dissatisfied users who were more motivated to post negative reviews than satisfied users were to leave praise.

CINC used Pendo’s in-app guidance to target long-term, task-completing users with a short feedback guide: positive responses were prompted to leave an app-store review, while negative feedback was routed to support. The team deployed and measured guides without developer help and integrated mobile data with Salesforce for better customer health scoring. The result: iOS ratings rose to 4.7 with nearly 600 reviews (a 1.5-point increase) and Android to 4.0, positioning CINCAgent as the highest-rated app in its industry and expanding Pendo use for updates, communications, and marketing.
