Wiley, through its WileyPLUS online teaching platform, faced a back-to-school challenge: helping instructors complete course setup on time so classes would be ready for the first day. Traditional email campaigns and live training weren’t working well, with only 24–25% of instructors opening emails and just 1% of those clicking through to the checklist, making it hard to drive engagement during the summer.
Pendo helped Wiley shift from email to Pendo In-app Guides and in-app messaging to surface the back-to-school checklist at the right moment inside WileyPLUS. This approach improved engagement dramatically, increasing content click-throughs by 1250% and reducing reliance on support and one-on-one training.
