Their legacy Salesforce setup couldn’t scale to normalize and analyze the IoT data needed to preempt performance issues and unplanned downtime.

Working with Pega, Wärtsilä centralizes sensor data in a cloud data lake and feeds it into the Pega Platform, where a rules framework detects anomalies and produces daily preventive-action reports. The result is improved equipment performance and reliability, optimized scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, greater long‑term predictability, and increased sales of proactive maintenance contracts.
