U.S. Marine Corps Modernizing on a major scale

The U.S. Marine Corps’ Program and Resources (P&R) Enterprise Business Transformation (EBT) office needed to modernize hundreds of disparate business systems that trapped critical data, created duplicative manual workarounds, and obscured risk. Charged with reducing cost and improving information sharing while meeting stringent Defense ATO controls, P&R sought a cloud-based, shared-services approach to replace siloed applications and accelerate delivery.

Working with srcLogic and the Pega Government Platform on a commercial cloud, EBT established a secure foundation with control inheritance and a continuous ATO, then used low-code development and Agile delivery to rapidly build the Managers’ Internal Controls Remediation and Reporting (MICRR) app. MICRR reached initial operating capability in three months and full rollout in six, cutting thousands of person-hours and related costs, enabling real-time reporting and risk visibility, and shrinking application delivery timelines from years to weeks (with new apps now delivered every 3–4 months).
