Case Study: Siemens achieves streamlined order-to-cash and saves 25,000 hours per year with Pegasystems

A Pegasystems Case Study

Preview of the Siemens Case Study

Siemens uses Pega to bridge the gaps in processes and systems

Siemens, a global industrial manufacturer with more than 380,000 employees across 280 sites, is shifting from traditional electrification and automation toward digitalization. That transition was hindered by heterogeneous business groups, a sprawling legacy landscape of more than 60 ERP systems, and decentralized decision-making, creating gaps in processes and systems that limited end-to-end optimization.

To address this, Siemens partnered with Pega to build a Center of Excellence that identifies where existing systems can’t be further optimized and uses Pega to bridge those gaps. The COE delivered 20 Pega applications (including master data, order management, cash collection, and a templatized Generic Workflow Self-Service for configuring approvals), producing full exception transparency, better vendor/customer record maintenance, and savings of more than 25,000 hours per year processing RFQs for one business unit.
